Terms of Sale, Shipping Cost, Warranty, etc.

PLACING AN ORDER - You can place an order by phone (4:00 to 9:00 PM Monday thru Thursday), fax or email. Please include the year and model the parts are to be used on. One reason we do not run an automated "web store" is that too often parts that are unsuited for or incompatible with the model they are to be used on are ordered. It's not that hard to misread a product code or description or mistype a part number. While we don't claim to catch every error, or never make our own, if we know the year and model and you give us both a part number and description we are able to minimize the number of items that must be returned.

PAYMENT METHODS - At this time, the only credit/debit cards we accept are MasterCard, VISA and Discover, no American Express cards or PayPal. We suggest that you only call or fax the card number, expiration date and security code (the three digit number on the back of the card) to us. We need both an address to ship to and the address where the card is billed to if it is different from the ship to address. Personal checks and money orders are always welcome but, if paid for by personal check, the order will not be shipped until the check clears.

Due to changes at the Post Office and UPS we have been forced to modify our previous flat rate shipping policy on domestic sales. Shipping charges on most orders currently run between $5 to $12 depending on the size/weight/value of the order and where it is being shipped to. very large/heavy items can run more. UPS has increased prices over 5% on top of last years change to dimensional weight, increased residential delivery charges and the charge for delivery to "rural" areas - all while giving huge discounts to Amazon and other large shippers. The Post Office also is now using dimensional weight on larger packages but that is zone dependent further confusing pricing.

PRICE CHANGES - Due to our low pricing policy, we are unable to absorb price increases due to variations in exchange rates, wholesale prices, etc. We try to keep prices on our website up to date but all prices are subject to change without notice.

RETURNS - It is the customer's obligation to check the items in their order on arrival. If we send you a defective part, or not the one you ordered, return the item within 7 days of receipt for a replacement. We will also reimburse you the (reasonable) cost of returning the item by deducting that amount from your next order. Parts modified or damaged will not be accepted. If you ordered the wrong part, or simply don't like it, return it within 7 days of receipt to avoid a restocking charge - no R.O. is needed. A 10% handling charge is imposed on items returned from 8 to 21 days. Returns will not be accepted after 21 days or on special orders without written permission. Mailed items should go to our PO Box, those shipped via UPS to 132 Pepe's Farm Road #5, Milford, CT 06460. If you are returning (opposed to exchanging) an item paid for by credit card you have the option of a shop credit for the full amount or a refund to your card less a 5% processing fee (our cost to charge & refund your card). In either case, the amount will be reduced by our actual cost of originally shipping the item to you.

EQUIPMENT USAGE - Many of CRA's products, including all gas tanks, are intended for racing or display (show) use only. It is the purchaser's responsibility to determine the legality and suitability of our products for their intended application.

INSTALLATION - All equipment must be installed by qualified personal. The fitting instructions provided are often intended only as a guide and omit commonly accepted practices such as alignment checks, use of safety wire, etc. In addition, many products require modification, or the fabrication of custom brackets, for proper installation. CRA accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from improperly installed parts.

WARRANTY - Name brand items are covered by the manufacturer and they should be contacted directly. CRA products are warrantied against defects for 90 days from the date of sale. Warranty claims should be shipped post paid and a replacement will be made after our inspection confirms a defect. Any item subject to misuse, negligence, accident or improper installation may not be warrantied nor does the warranty cover labor or other expenses incurred in replacement of defective parts. This warranty is in lieu of all others expressed or implied and all other obligations on the part of CRA.
